The book tells story of her great grandmother's life who grew up in pre-partition Sindh India and had to migrate to India after the partition of India in 1947, Padma Bajaj, the protagonist of this factually based novel is a headstrong, feminist growing in 1930s and 1940s Sindh, who becomes a key source of wisdom, guidance and strength to her husband, children, grand children. The complex geopolitical context of the time with India's freedom struggle, world war two in the background make the story gripping and great read. You can buy the book in India and other countries.
