Did you know that the foods we eat, containers we use, candles we burn, and personal care products we use can all be hidden sources of toxins that can lead to health problems? Courtney Warday, dietitian, came on the podcast this week to teach us about endocrine disruptors and steps we can take to limit our exposure. Courtney is passionate about women’s health and fertility health and I am so glad she shared her wisdom with us!
Here are the take-aways:
-Lots of nutrients are important for hormone health
-Healthy fats are needed for the production of hormones
-An endocrine disruptor is any chemical that interferes with a hormone’s natural functioning
-Endocrine disruptors can lead to health concerns like endometriosis, infertility, or miscarriage
-Choose one endocrine disruptor to focus on avoiding
-Even one switch to a healthier food or a healthier product can make a difference
-Glorify God with your body. Your body is a gift!
