George Mallory was born in South Africa and quickly set about accumulating some extraordinary achievements in the world of Rock Climbing. His famous Grandfather George Mallory the explorer & mountaineer was the inspiration behind Georges brief transition into mountaineering which included a summit of the awe inspiring Mt Everest. After immigrating to Australia George developed a training concept where he would climb the height of Mt Everest on his bike in a single day, this became an obsession both before and after his actual climb of Mt Everest.
