Sgt. George Moran served in the U.S. Army from 2012 to 2019 as a 15P (Aviation Operations Specialist) and briefly as a 31D (Criminal Investigation Division). He completed two overseas tours—Korea (2013–2014) with the 2ID 3-2 GSAB and Afghanistan (2015) with the 101st GSAB in Kandahar Province. During his service, he sustained three traumatic brain injuries (TBI) from training accidents and an IED explosion. Despite these challenges, he earned a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and later a Master’s in Legal Studies with a focus on environmental law.

Now medically retired, Moran works as a Safety Coordinator for a local county, focusing on mining safety and environmental compliance. He also runs Catholic Veteran Talk on YouTube, offering legal analyses of current legislation and discussions on faith and military life from a Christian/Catholic perspective.
