Éxodo 7: El poder de Dios es superior.

Éxodo 7:1-13:
Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: —Mira, yo te he puesto como dios para el faraón, y tu hermano Aarón será tu profeta. Tú dirás todas las cosas que yo te mande, y Aarón tu hermano hablará al faraón para que deje ir de su tierra a los hijos de Israel. Yo endureceré el corazón del faraón y multiplicaré mis señales y mis prodigios en la tierra de Egipto. El faraón no los escuchará. Pero yo pondré mi mano sobre Egipto y sacaré a mis ejércitos, mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de la tierra de Egipto con grandes actos justicieros. Así sabrán los egipcios que yo soy el SEÑOR, cuando extienda mi mano sobre Egipto y saque a los hijos de Israel de en medio de ellos.
Moisés y Aarón hicieron como el SEÑOR les mandó; así lo hicieron. Moisés tenía ochenta años y Aarón ochenta y tres años, cuando hablaron al faraón.
El SEÑOR habló a Moisés y a Aarón diciendo: —Cuando el faraón les responda y diga: “Muestren señales”, tú dirás a Aarón: “Toma tu vara y arrójala delante del faraón, y ella se transformará en una serpiente”.
Fueron, pues, Moisés y Aarón al faraón, e hicieron como el SEÑOR les había mandado: Aarón echó su vara delante del faraón y de sus servidores, y se convirtió en una serpiente. El faraón también llamó a los sabios y a los hechiceros, y también ellos, los magos de Egipto, hicieron lo mismo con sus encantamientos. Cada uno echó su vara, las cuales se convirtieron en serpientes; pero la vara de Aarón se tragó las varas de ellos. Y el corazón del faraón se endureció, y no los escuchó, tal como el SEÑOR había dicho.

No olvides leer todo el capítulo completo porque al final del capítulo comienza la primera plaga que Dios envió a Egipto.
Quiero que meditemos en la forma en que Dios fortaleció a Moisés después del desánimo que sintió cuando el corazón del faraón se endureció poniendo más trabajo al pueblo, y cuando el pueblo no quiso creer la voz de Dios por medio de Moisés.
El Señor siempre nos va a dar la fortaleza cuando nos sintamos confundidos y desanimados. No solamente le dio a Moisés palabras de ánimo, confirmándole todos los planes detallados que Dios tenía preparado para ejecutarlos sobre el faraón y la tierra de Egipto, también le dio autoridad por medio de su vara.
En el momento que Moisés manifestó el poder de Dios por medio de la vara, convirtiéndola en serpiente, ocurrió otro evento que pudo traer otra vez desánimo y confusión en Moisés: los magos de faraón también hicieron lo mismo. Sus varas también se convirtieron en serpientes, y por eso el faraón no quedó impresionado por lo que Moisés hizo con su vara, pues el faraón midió también su poder.
¡La diferencia entre las dos acciones es que la serpiente de Moisés se tragó a las de los encantadores de faraón!

Aquí podemos notar dos cosas: Primero, que el poder de las tinieblas es verídico, es real. Segundo, ¡el poder de Dios siempre va a superar las artimañas del enemigo!
Es por eso que Moisés entendió que no debían temer al faraón, que él iba a buscar la confrontación y persistir la orden de Dios, ya que Dios había anticipado esta actitud desafiante con el propósito de que Dios quería desplegar todo su poder para que el faraón y todos los habitantes de Egipto, Israel y la región de Canaán supieran que el Dios Todopoderoso, el Gran Yo Soy, era y es el Señor de Israel.
Otra lección que podemos aprender es la que el apóstol Pablo nos enseña advirtiéndonos de falsos maestros y apóstoles que usan el nombre del Señor para engañar. Por eso el apóstol Pablo dice que Satanás se viste como ángel de luz en 2 Corintios 11:13-15: “Porque los tales son falsos apóstoles, obreros fraudulentos disfrazados como apóstoles de Cristo. Y no es de maravillarse, porque Satanás mismo se disfraza como ángel de luz. Así que, no es gran cosa que también sus ministros se disfracen como ministros de justificación cuyo fin será conforme a sus obras.”

Afirma tu fe en la verdad de la Palabra de Dios, no en argumentos humanos de personas que tal vez tengan un bonito carisma y mueven las emociones pero no se basan en el estudio de la Palabra de Dios.
Uno de los propósitos de este devocional es animarte a que estudies y te profundices en el conocimiento de Dios, para que así nada ni nadie te confunda ni te engañe.
Si no fuera porque Moisés conocía bien la Palabra de Dios y el plan perfecto que el Señor diseñó para liberar al pueblo de Egipto, posiblemente estas señales lo hubieran confundido.
Por eso, cuidemos lo que tenemos. No te dejes seducir ni engañar por las tinieblas, ni tampoco te dejes amedrentar.

En los próximos capítulos vamos a observar que por un tiempo los hechiceros del faraón van a imitar otros milagros, pero más adelante ¡ya no van a poder imitar el gran poder de Dios!

Exodus 7:1-13:
So the Lord said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. You shall speak all that I command you. And Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh to send the children of Israel out of his land. And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. But Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”
Then Moses and Aaron did so; just as the Lord commanded them, so they did. And Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’ ” So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the Lord commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said.

Don't forget to read the entire chapter because at the end of the chapter the first plague that God sent to Egypt begins.
I want us to meditate on how God strengthened Moses after the discouragement he felt when Pharaoh's heart hardened by putting more work on the people, and when the people did not want to believe God's voice through Moses.
The Lord will always give us strength when we feel confused and discouraged. He not only gave Moses words of encouragement, confirming all the detailed plans that God had prepared to execute over Pharaoh and the land of Egypt, he also gave him authority through his rod.
At the moment that Moses manifested the power of God through the rod, turning it into a snake, another event occurred that could once again bring discouragement and confusion to Moses: Pharaoh's magicians also did the same. Their rods also turned into serpents, and so Pharaoh was not impressed by what Moses did with his rod, because Pharaoh also measured his power.
The difference between the two actions is that the serpent of Moses swallowed those of Pharaoh's charmers!

Here we can notice two things: First, that the power of darkness is true, it is real. Second, the power of God will always overcome the wiles of the enemy!
That is why Moses understood that they should not fear Pharaoh. That he was going to seek confrontation and persist God's order, since God had anticipated this defiant attitude with the purpose that God wanted to display all His power so that Pharaoh and all the inhabitants of Egypt, Israel and the region of Canaan knew that the Almighty God, the Great I Am, was and is the Lord of Israel.
Another lesson that we can learn is the one that the apostle Paul teaches us by warning us of false teachers and apostles who use the name of the Lord to deceive. That is why the apostle Paul says that Satan dresses as an angel of light in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.”

Affirm your faith in the truth of the Word of God, not in human arguments from people who may have a nice charisma and they move the emotions but are not based on the study of the Word of God.
One of the purposes of this devotional is to encourage you to study and deepen your knowledge of God, so that nothing and no one confuses or deceives you.
If it were not for the fact that Moses knew well the Word of God and the perfect plan that the Lord designed to deliver the people from Egypt, these signs might have confused him.
So let's take care of what we have. Do not let yourself be seduced or deceived by the darkness, nor do you let yourself be intimidated.

In the next chapters we are going to observe that for a time the Pharaoh's sorcerers will imitate other miracles, but later they will not be able to imitate the great power of God anymore!
