There are currently 101 HBCUs in operation today in the United States and US Virgin Islands. Our number was diminsihed by one in 2018 when Concordia College closed in Selma, Alabama. So what happens to the students that are enrolled there when a college shuts its doors down – permanently? How does that effect the alumni? How does that effect and reflect upon us as HBCUs? In this episode, we’ll discuss this and more with Dr. James Lyons, the final president of Concordia College.
