In this podcast, we talk about “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” by director Rupert Wyatt from 2011. It serves as a reboot of the original "Planet of the Apes" film series from 1968 to 1973, which consisted of five films. The reboot currently includes four films.

We praise the intelligent and emotional plot, particularly emphasizing Andy Serkis' convincing portrayal of the chimpanzee Caesar, who looks extremely realistic thanks to the latest CGI technology.

The film not only deals with the apes' fight for freedom, but also explores a father-son relationship and the challenges of dealing with Alzheimer's disease. Overall, the film is an outstanding and entertaining work.

We will gradually review the other parts of this film series as well. To avoid missing these reviews, you can subscribe to our channel and activate the notification bell. This way, you’ll stay updated on the next Planet of the Apes critiques and all other new releases on this channel.

Plot:

Scientist Will Rodman, played by James Franco, has been working on a drug to cure his father’s Alzheimer’s disease, portrayed by John Lithgow. When this fails, he becomes the father figure to a baby chimpanzee named Caesar. As Caesar grows, played by Andy Serkis, he displays extraordinary human-like intelligence, which Will tries to keep secret. However, after an incident, Caesar is taken to a primate sanctuary.

These events lead Caesar to plan a strike against humanity, which has severe consequences.
