Every day, we walk over dead bodies. The dirt beneath our feet is made up of millions of decomposed organisms, discarded cells, and shrouded memories. We have become comfortable with the millions that are buried, lost, and forgotten beneath our homes, our cities, and our lives.

But what if something underneath did not want to be forgotten? What if something underneath wasn’t in the ground, but was somehow in the basement of your own home? What if you had to live for 40 years with a presence that desperately kept trying to get your attention?
