I knew something was wrong with the dream I was having when a huge Rock star had passed away. I instantly woke up. I was like a two year old child arguing with his mother or father, “No! No! This isn’t true! Wake Up!” I’m completely fascinated with the way we can reconnect with something we’ve disconnected from. Sleeping. My entire life I’ve always believed the mind turns off our ability to listen. How do we miss so many late night thunderstorms? I don’t spend every night investigating what I dream. I just have this way of realizing when truth has been taken over by mental fake news. How then do we know our way back to reality? I ask this because through Nidra Meditation I’m able to do a lot of leveling. Meaning really really deep meditation where I think I’m back but I’m not. I’ve spent months and years studying this because it scares me. I read this morning that people who die in their dreams die. What? We’re not even going there! Leveling is a very spiritual cleansing way to meditate. It allows there to be tremendous amounts of mindfulness. Through careful studies I’m able to let go of a lot of walls which takes me very very deep. When you think you’ve returned and you haven’t experts call that a false awakening. When I find myself back in the moment of Now, the first thing I do is grab my meditation journal and write about the experience. I need to know for future reasons how the experience went. Here’s how I was able to free myself from Lucid Dreaming this morning. News had entered my sleeping self that Gene Simmons of KISS had passed away. It was not true. I remember questioning it in the dream. I refused to believe it mainly because I was mourning the loss of Paul McCartney. Wham! Awake! Oh look! It five o’clock. No alarm today. The dream woke me up. We’re all blessed with the ability to have Lucid Dreams. They just don’t teach it in school. There’s a huge chance that you are sleeping at night but not in the manner you think you should be. Lucid Dreaming keeps you from the deeper rest your body requires daily. Be aware of how you dream and why you dream. Keep notes so that you are educating your future self on how to act and react to what could be keeping you from feeling like you aren’t sleeping. I’m no expert. I just have years of handwritten notes.
