God doesn’t just tell us to “bow down to him” and do everything he tells us to. Visualize this; Your in a fresh new relationship and you don’t fully know the person yet. As time goes on, you start to see and realize how much they love you, they accept you as you are and help you change for YOUR OWN BENEFIT, they’re always there when you need to talk, when you cry, when your happy, everything. You know they would also like to be loved, like to be praised, like for you to change to be better, like to be respected and revered by you, the one they love so much. And sure enough you do! You can’t get enough of this person, you feel and fuzzy inside just thinking about how amazing they are to have in your life, you want to reciprocate their love and kindness and change your bad ways to be better for them while also benefitting yourself! You naturally are submitting yourself to them and loving them, and praising them, and lifting them up because of the love you’ve built in your relationship. It’s the same with God💕
