A plot to attack a synagogue in Sarcelles, France, was thwarted with the arrest of an alleged organizer, following the discovery of a weapons cache. In the U.S. 2026 election cycle, antisemitic and dehumanizing rhetoric has targeted Jewish candidates in Arizona, including calls for a "final solution" and vandalism. Meanwhile, a new study from Brandeis University reveals humanities PhD students exhibit significantly higher levels of anti-Jewish prejudice and hostility toward Israel compared to their peers. We also look at Solon Schools addressing antisemitic incidents, a defense of an ethnic studies course in Pittsburgh, debate in Edinburgh over "Zionism is Racism" rhetoric, and a statement from Rep. Debbie Dingell on confronting antisemitism. Topics covered include France, synagogue security, antisemitism, Arizona politics, Jewish candidates, rhetoric, US graduate students, humanities, prejudice, Israel, Solon Schools, ethnic studies, Edinburgh, Zionism, IHRA definition, and policy responses.
