Génesis 16: No Ayudes a Dios.

Génesis 16:1-16 RVA2015:
1 Sarai, mujer de Abram, no le daba hijos; pero ella tenía una sierva egipcia que se llamaba Agar. 2 Entonces Sarai dijo a Abram: —He aquí que el SEÑOR me ha impedido concebir. Únete, por favor, a mi sierva; quizás yo tenga hijos por medio de ella. Abram hizo caso de las palabras de Sarai. 3 Y Sarai su mujer tomó a Agar, su sierva egipcia, después de haber vivido diez años en la tierra de Canaán, y se la dio por mujer a Abram su marido. 4 Abram se unió a Agar, y ella concibió. Pero al ver que había concebido, empezó a mirar con desprecio a su señora. 5 Entonces Sarai dijo a Abram: —Mi agravio recaiga sobre ti. Yo puse a mi sierva en tu seno; y ella, viéndose encinta, me mira con desprecio. El SEÑOR juzgue entre tú y yo.
6 Abram respondió a Sarai: —He aquí, tu sierva está en tus manos. Haz con ella como te parezca bien.
Como Sarai la afligía, ella huyó de su presencia. 7 Pero el ángel del SEÑOR la encontró en el desierto junto a un manantial de agua (el manantial que está en el camino de Shur), 8 y le dijo: —Agar, sierva de Sarai, ¿de dónde vienes y a dónde vas?
Ella respondió: —Huyó de la presencia de Sarai, mi señora.
9 El ángel del SEÑOR le dijo: —Vuelve a tu señora y sométete a su autoridad. 10 —Le dijo también el ángel del SEÑOR—: Multiplicaré tanto tus descendientes, que no podrán ser contados a causa de su gran número. 11 —Le dijo además el ángel del SEÑOR—: He aquí que has concebido y darás a luz un hijo. Y llamarás su nombre Ismael, porque el SEÑOR ha escuchado tu aflicción. 12 Él será como un asno montés, un hombre cuya mano estará contra todos, y las manos de todos estarán contra él. Y habitará frente a todos sus hermanos.
13 Ella invocó el nombre del SEÑOR, que hablaba con ella, y dijo: —Tú eres un Dios que me ve.
Pues pensó: “¿Acaso no he visto aquí al que me ve?”. 14 Por eso llamó al pozo Beer-lajai-roí. He aquí que está entre Cades y Bered.
15 Agar dio a luz un hijo a Abram, y Abram llamó el nombre de su hijo que le dio Agar, Ismael. 16 Abram tenía ochenta y seis años cuando Agar le dio a luz a Ismael.


Hay un dicho que dice así: “Ayúdate que yo te ayudare"; y hasta cierto punto tenemos que tomar acción y no quedarnos de brazos cruzados esperando la bendición de Dios cuando debemos movernos en fe.
En este capítulo, Sarai quiso ayudarle a Dios a cumplir su promesa. Este es un ejemplo de que a Dios no debemos ayudarle a realizar un milagro cuando Él ha sido específico en algo. Dios le dijo a Abram y Sarai que tendrían un hijo de ellos dos. Sin embargo, Sarai asumió que Dios les daría un hijo pero por medio de los medios tradicionales. Cuando la señora de la casa no podía tener hijos, utilizaban el vientre de su criada y legalmente el niño pertenecería a la señora de la casa. Algo similar ocurre hoy en día: personas prestan su vientre por cierta suma de dinero y le implantan un óvulo fecundado para beneficiar a una pareja con dificultades para concebir. Las esposas de Jacob también hicieron lo mismo.
Esta acción trajo consecuencias negativas a Sarai y volcó su frustración contra Abram. La sierva huyó de la casa porque se sintió oprimida pero Dios la consoló y la afirmó, mirando su sufrimiento y Dios le anunció bendiciones a su futuro hijo.

Debemos usar mucha sabiduría y prudencia para discernir cuando debemos levantarnos en fe y abrir las puertas que Dios ponga en nuestro camino, o dar algún paso de fe y tomar acción confiando en que Dios quiere que hagamos eso. O entender que debemos quedarnos quietos y esperar pacientemente. Se necesita mucha consagración y entrega en ayuno y oración para que el Señor guíe nuestros pasos. Se necesita hacer un análisis de la situación donde te encuentras y así ser sensible a lo que el Señor te va a mostrar.
Usualmente queremos ayudar a Dios en momentos de desesperación, y hacemos cosas impulsivamente. Una señal de una acción precipitada es cuando estás bajo emociones fuertes. Cuando estás cansado o frustrado, muy feliz y emocionado, muy triste o muy enojado. Cuando experimentes una de estas emociones, haz una pausa, entra a la presencia de Dios y pregúntale qué camino debes seguir. Él te dará su paz indescriptible y te guiará a donde Dios quiere bendecirte.

Espero que esta enseñanza te ayude a tomar las mejores decisiones para ti y tu familia, y que no intentes "ayudar" a Dios cuando Él no te lo ha pedido.

Usa el método llamado VISUALÍZALO, usa tu imaginación en el momento en que Sarai pensó que esa era una buena idea, y después trata de sentir lo que ella sintió al ver que su idea no salió como ella pensó que saldría. También siente el menosprecio que sintió Agar y lo que sintió después de haber tenido un encuentro con el mismo Dios.

Genesis 16: Do not help God.

Let's read the whole chapter.

Genesis 16:1-16 NLT:
Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had not been able to bear children for him. But she had an Egyptian servant named Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, “The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal. So Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian servant and gave her to Abram as a wife. (This happened ten years after Abram had settled in the land of Canaan.)
So Abram had sexual relations with Hagar, and she became pregnant. But when Hagar knew she was pregnant, she began to treat her mistress, Sarai, with contempt. Then Sarai said to Abram, “This is all your fault! I put my servant into your arms, but now that she’s pregnant she treats me with contempt. The Lord will show who’s wrong—you or me!”
Abram replied, “Look, she is your servant, so deal with her as you see fit.” Then Sarai treated Hagar so harshly that she finally ran away.
The angel of the Lord found Hagar beside a spring of water in the wilderness, along the road to Shur. The angel said to her, “Hagar, Sarai’s servant, where have you come from, and where are you going?”
“I’m running away from my mistress, Sarai,” she replied.
The angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit to her authority.” Then he added, “I will give you more descendants than you can count.”
And the angel also said, “You are now pregnant and will give birth to a son. You are to name him Ishmael (which means ‘God hears’), for the Lord has heard your cry of distress. This son of yours will be a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey! He will raise his fist against everyone, and everyone will be against him. Yes, he will live in open hostility against all his relatives.”
Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” So that well was named Beer-lahai-roi (which means “well of the Living One who sees me”). It can still be found between Kadesh and Bered.
So Hagar gave Abram a son, and Abram named him Ishmael. Abram was eighty-six years old when Ishmael was born.


There is a saying that goes like this: "Help yourself and I will help you"; and to a certain extent we have to take action and not stand idly by waiting for God's blessing when we must move in faith.
In this chapter, Sarai wanted to help God to fulfill His promise. This is an example that we should not help God perform a miracle when He has been specific about something. God told Abram and Sarai that they would have a child by the two of them. However, Sarai assumed that God would give them a child but through traditional means. When the lady of the house could not have children, they used the womb of her maid and legally the child would belong to the lady of the house. Something similar happens nowadays: people lend their womb for a certain sum of money and implant a fertilized egg to benefit a couple with difficulties in conceiving. Jacob's wives also did the same.
This action brought negative consequences to Sarai and she turned her frustration against Abram. The servant ran away from the house because she felt oppressed but God comforted and affirmed her, looking at her suffering and God announced blessings to her future son.

We must use great wisdom and prudence to discern when we should stand up in faith and open the doors that God places in our path, or take a step of faith and take action trusting that God wants us to do so. Or understand that we should sit still and wait patiently. It takes a lot of consecration and dedication in fasting and prayer so that the Lord guides our steps. You need to make an analysis of the situation where you find yourself and thus be sensitive to what the Lord is going to show you.
We usually want to help God in times of desperation, and we do things impulsively. A sign of rash action is when you are under strong emotions. When you are tired or frustrated, very happy and excited, very sad or very angry. When you experience one of these emotions, do a pause, enter the presence of God and ask Him which way you should go. He will give you His indescribable peace and guide you where God wants to bless you.
I hope that this teaching helps you make the best decisions for you and your family, and that you do not try to "help" God when He has not asked you to.

Use the method called VISUALIZE IT, use your imagination at the moment when Sarai thought that was a good idea, and then try to feel what she felt when her idea didn't turn out the way she thought it would. Also feels the contempt that Hagar felt and what she felt after having an encounter with God Himself.
