Génesis 19: Escapa Por Tu Vida.



Génesis 19:12-26:
12 Aquellos hombres dijeron a Lot: —¿Tienes aquí a alguien más? Yernos, hijos, hijas; cualquiera que tengas en la ciudad, sácalos de este lugar. 13 Porque vamos a destruir este lugar, por cuanto el clamor de ellos ha llegado a ser grande delante del SEÑOR. Por eso el SEÑOR nos ha enviado para destruirlo.
14 Entonces salió Lot y habló a sus yernos, los que habían de casarse con sus hijas, y les dijo: —¡Levántense, salgan de este lugar, porque el SEÑOR va a destruir la ciudad!
Pero a sus yernos les pareció que bromeaba. 15 Y al rayar el alba, los ángeles apremiaban a Lot, diciéndole: —¡Levántate, toma a tu mujer y a tus dos hijas que están aquí, para que no seas destruido con el castigo de la ciudad!
16 Cuando se detenía, los hombres tomaron su mano, la mano de su mujer y las manos de sus dos hijas, por la misericordia del SEÑOR para con él. Lo sacaron y lo pusieron fuera de la ciudad. 17 Y después de haberlos sacado fuera, le dijeron: —¡Escapa por tu vida! No mires atrás ni te detengas en toda esta llanura. Escapa a la montaña, no sea que perezca.
18 Lot le dijo: —¡Por favor, no, señor mío! 19 He aquí que tu siervo ha hallado gracia ante tus ojos y has engrandecido tu misericordia que has mostrado conmigo dándome la vida. Pero yo no podré escapar a la montaña, no sea que me alcance el mal y muera. 20 He allí esa ciudad está cerca para escapar allá, y es pequeña. Deja que escape allá y salve mi vida. ¿Acaso no es pequeña?
21 Le respondió: —He aquí que también te he atendido con respecto a este asunto. No destruiré la ciudad de la cual has hablado. 22 Date prisa y escapa allá. Nada podré hacer hasta que hayas llegado allí.
Por eso fue llamado el nombre de la ciudad Zoar.
23 El sol ya había salido sobre la tierra cuando Lot llegó a Zoar. 24 Entonces el SEÑOR hizo llover desde los cielos azufre y fuego de parte del SEÑOR sobre Sodoma y Gomorra. 25 Y trastornó aquellas ciudades, toda la llanura con todos los habitantes de las ciudades y las plantas de la tierra. 26 Entonces la mujer de Lot miró atrás, a espaldas de él, y se convirtió en una columna de sal.


Todo han oido acerca de estas dos ciudades: Sodoma y Gomorra. Si lees todo el capítulo, te darás cuenta de la degradación tan baja de esta población. Ellos no tenían ningún fundamento moral, ni principios ni valores cívicos, no tenían respeto a los derechos humanos. Para ellos era normal la práctica de toda clase de desviación.
Lot, que sí guardaba principios y valores, que tenía una fe grande en Dios, estaba atormentado por tanta maldad, pero había cometido el error de acercarse mucho a ellos a tal punto que su familia se había acostumbrado a ese estilo de vida.
Cuando vino el castigo a esa población, Dios envió dos ángeles para que libraran a Lot y su familia, gracias a las oraciones de Abraham. Lot iba a sufrir las consecuencias del castigo porque se había acomodado también en medio de ellos.
Cuando el ángel les dio la orden de salir, ¡nadie quería irse!, incluso los novios de sus hijas pensaron que era una burla. Sus hijas estaban felices ahí, y su esposa posiblemente no quería dejar atrás sus pertenencias de valor, su casa, su estilo de vida.
¡Dios en su misericordia los sacó de la mano a la fuerza y les dio la orden de no mirar atrás! La única que miró atrás fue su esposa y quedó convertida en estatua de sal.

Este evento es muy significativo. Primero, debemos evitar contaminarnos de un estilo de vida que no está acorde con los principios bíblicos, que Dios desprecia. No fue la intención de Lot pero tampoco fue prudente y no vio el peligro de que, poco a poco, se fue acercando a esta población insensibles a la ley de Dios.
También, recordemos que Dios siempre escucha las oraciones de los que interceden y claman por los demás. Si tu eres un intercesor, continúa haciéndolo, para que Dios comience a obrar con misericordia al escuchar tu clamor.

Otra lección es que debemos abrir nuestros ojos cuando Dios quiere guardarnos de cualquier especie de mal. Debemos seguir su mandato aunque no nos guste, pues es para nuestro bien. Si no obedecemos, nosotros mismos vamos a sufrir las consecuencias de nuestros actos irresponsables.
Espero que seamos sabios y entendidos, guardando a nuestras familias, pues todas las decisiones que tomemos pueden bendecir o causar condenación y perdición a nuestras familias.
Escapa por tu vida. No mires hacia atrás y sigue hacia el monte de Dios, que es Su presencia.

Escudriñemos:
Usa el método llamado PRONUNCIARLO en la frase que está en el verso 17: "¡Escapa por tu vida! No mires atrás ni te detengas en toda esta llanura. Escapa a la montaña, no sea que perezcas."

Genesis 19: Escape For Your Life.



Genesis 19:12-26:
Meanwhile, the angels questioned Lot. “Do you have any other relatives here in the city?” they asked. “Get them out of this place—your sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone else. For we are about to destroy this city completely. The outcry against this place is so great it has reached the Lord, and he has sent us to destroy it.”
So Lot rushed out to tell his daughters’ fiancés, “Quick, get out of the city! The Lord is about to destroy it.” But the young men thought he was only joking.
At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. “Hurry,” they said to Lot. “Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out right now, or you will be swept away in the destruction of the city!”
When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful. When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
“Oh no, my lord!” Lot begged. “You have been so gracious to me and saved my life, and you have shown such great kindness. But I cannot go to the mountains. Disaster would catch up to me there, and I would soon die. See, there is a small village nearby. Please let me go there instead; don’t you see how small it is? Then my life will be saved.”
“All right,” the angel said, “I will grant your request. I will not destroy the little village. But hurry! Escape to it, for I can do nothing until you arrive there.” (This explains why that village was known as Zoar, which means “little place.”)
Lot reached the village just as the sun was rising over the horizon. Then the Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah. He utterly destroyed them, along with the other cities and villages of the plain, wiping out all the people and every bit of vegetation. But Lot’s wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt.


You have heard about these two cities: Sodom and Gomorrah. If you read the entire chapter, you will notice the very low degradation of this population. They had no moral foundation, no civic principles or values, they had no respect for human rights. For them, the practice of all kinds of deviation was normal.
Lot, who did keep principles and values, who had great faith in God, was tormented by so much evil, but he had made the mistake of getting too close to them to the point that his family had become accustomed to that lifestyle.
When the punishment came to that population, God sent two angels to free Lot and his family, thanks to the prayers of Abraham. Lot was going to suffer the consequences of the punishment because he had also accommodated himself in their midst.
When the angel ordered them to leave, no one wanted to leave! Even their daughters' boyfriends thought it was a joke. His daughters were happy there, and his wife possibly did not want to leave behind her valuables, her home, her lifestyle.
God in His mercy took them by force by the hand and gave them the order not to look back! The only one who looked back was his wife and she was turned into a pillar of salt.

This event is very significant. First, we must avoid contaminating ourselves with a lifestyle that is not in accordance with biblical principles, which God despises. It was not Lot's intention, but neither was he prudent and he did not see the danger that, little by little, he was approaching this population insensitive to God's law.
Also, let us remember that God always listens to the prayers of those who intercede and cry out for others. If you are an intercessor, continue doing so, so that God begins to work with mercy by hearing your cry.

Another lesson is that we must open our eyes when God wants to keep us from any kind of evil. We must follow His mandate even if we don't like it, because it is for our good. If we do not obey, we ourselves will suffer the consequences of our irresponsible acts.
I hope that we are wise and understanding, guarding our families, because all the decisions we make can bless or cause damnation and destruction to our families.
Escape for your life. Do not look back and continue towards the mountain of God, which is His presence.

Use the method called PRONOUNCE IT in the sentence that is in verse 17: “Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
