Génesis 27: Las consecuencias de lo que declaramos.

En este capítulo vamos a ver la vida de Esaú, cuando perdió su bendición y cómo Jacob la recibió.

Génesis 27: 30-40:
30 Y sucedió luego que Isaac había terminado de bendecir a Jacob, y cuando apenas había salido Jacob de la presencia de su padre Isaac, que su hermano Esaú llegó de cazar. 31 Él también hizo un potaje, lo llevó a su padre y le dijo: —Levántate, padre mío, y come de la caza de tu hijo, para que tú me bendigas.
32 Entonces su padre Isaac le preguntó: —¿Quién eres tú?
Él respondió: —Yo soy Esaú, tu hijo primogénito.
33 Isaac se estremeció fuertemente y dijo: —¿Quién, pues, es el que vino aquí, que cazó y me trajo de comer, y yo comí de todo antes de que tú vinieras? ¡Yo lo bendije, y será bendito!
34 Cuando Esaú oyó las palabras de su padre, profirió un grito fuerte y muy amargo. Y dijo a su padre: —¡Bendíceme también a mí, padre mío!
35 Él dijo: —Tu hermano vino con engaño y se llevó tu bendición.
36 Él respondió: —¿No es cierto que llamaron su nombre Jacob? Pues ya me ha suplantado estas dos veces: Se llevó mi primogenitura, y he aquí que ahora también se ha llevado mi bendición. —Y añadió—: ¿No te queda una bendición para mí?
37 Isaac respondió y dijo a Esaú: —He aquí, yo lo he puesto por señor tuyo, y le he dado como siervos a todos sus hermanos. Lo he provisto de trigo y de vino. ¿Qué, pues, haré por ti, hijo mío?
38 Esaú dijo a su padre: —¿No tienes más que una sola bendición, padre mío? ¡Bendíceme también a mí, padre mío!
Y Esaú alzó su voz y lloró. 39 Entonces respondió Isaac su padre y le dijo: —He aquí, será favorecido el lugar que habites con los más preciados productos de la tierra y con el rocío del cielo arriba. 40 De tu espada vivirás y a tu hermano servirás. Pero sucederá que cuando adquieras dominio, romperás su yugo sobre tu cuello.


En este episodio se cumple la promesa que Esaú le hizo a Jacob.
Jacob con la ayuda de su madre armaron un plan para engañar a Isaac y así Esaú pagará su promesa. Era imposible que Jacob tomara el lugar de Esaú porque físicamente los dos eran diferentes; tal vez por eso Esaú estaba confiado y hasta se habrá burlado de Jacob cuando hizo esta promesa.
Aquí vemos el poder de un padre y las palabras que dice. En aquellos tiempos la bendición del padre era la forma sobrenatural de transmitir los bienes, riquezas y hasta un futuro próspero a sus hijos. Lo contrario también era certero, cuando el padre exclamaba una palabra negativa, entonces el hijo heredaba maldición.

Esta es la primera lección: ¿Qué clase de palabras salen de tu boca para tu familia? ¿De bendición, de edificación? ¿O destrucción? ¿Estás inculcando a tu generación la fe y confianza en el Señor?, o ¿estás inculcando amargura, enojo, negativismo, pesimismo o insultos?
¡Espero que estés transmitiendo las promesas de Dios! Declamando versos bíblicos y afirmando a tus hijos con mensajes de aliento y de instrucción para que tengan una vida próspera.

La otra lección es lo que sufrió Esaú. Como consecuencia de haber menospreciado la promesa de Dios, los privilegios del primogénito los perdió de forma repentina.
Cuando regresó de cazar y preparar alimento a su padre, vio que ya no había remedio.
Cuidate de profanar con tus palabras, diciendo cosas a la ligera, burlándote de las cosas de Dios o de personas que aman al Señor.
No pierdas tu bendición, pues posiblemente no tengas tiempo de arrepentirte, como lo describe el escritor en Hebreos 12:16-17: "... que ninguno sea inmoral ni profano como Esaú que, por una sola comida, vendió su propia primogenitura. Porque ya saben que fue reprobado, a pesar de que después quería heredar la bendición, porque no halló más ocasión de arrepentimiento, aunque lo buscó con lágrimas."

Sé prudente y sabio con tus palabras y las decisiones que tomes. No te dejes llevar por las emociones. Muchos, en su enojo, han dicho lo que no debían haber dicho, o cuando alguien confía en sí mismo y olvida poner sus planes en las manos del señor, va a sufrir muchas decepciones.

Genesis 27: The consequences of what we declare.

In this chapter we are going to see the life of Esau, when he lost his blessing and how Jacob received it.
Don't forget to read the whole chapter.

Genesis 27:30-40:
As soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and almost before Jacob had left his father, Esau returned from his hunt. Esau prepared a delicious meal and brought it to his father. Then he said, “Sit up, my father, and eat my wild game so you can give me your blessing.”
But Isaac asked him, “Who are you?”
Esau replied, “It’s your son, your firstborn son, Esau.”
Isaac began to tremble uncontrollably and said, “Then who just served me wild game? I have already eaten it, and I blessed him just before you came. And yes, that blessing must stand!”
When Esau heard his father’s words, he let out a loud and bitter cry. “Oh my father, what about me? Bless me, too!” he begged.
But Isaac said, “Your brother was here, and he tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.”
Esau exclaimed, “No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice. First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?”
Isaac said to Esau, “I have made Jacob your master and have declared that all his brothers will be his servants. I have guaranteed him an abundance of grain and wine—what is left for me to give you, my son?”
Esau pleaded, “But do you have only one blessing? Oh my father, bless me, too!” Then Esau broke down and wept.
Finally, his father, Isaac, said to him, “You will live away from the richness of the earth, and away from the dew of the heaven above. You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. But when you decide to break free, you will shake his yoke from your neck.”

In this episode the promise that Esau made to Jacob is fulfilled.
Jacob with the help of his mother put together a plan to deceive Isaac and so Esau will pay his promise. It was impossible for Jacob to take Esau's place because physically the two were different; perhaps that is why Esau was confident and may have even mocked Jacob when he made this promise.
Here we see the power of a father and the words he says. In those times, the father's blessing was the supernatural way of transmitting goods, riches and even a prosperous future to his children. The opposite was also true, when the father exclaimed a negative word, then the son inherited the curse.

This is the first lesson: What kind of words come out of your mouth for your family? Of blessing, of edification? Or destruction? Are you instilling faith and trust in the Lord in your generation? Or are you instilling bitterness, anger, negativism, pessimism or insults?
I hope you are passing on the promises of God! Reciting biblical verses and affirming your children with messages of encouragement and instruction so that they have a prosperous life.

The other lesson is what Esau suffered. As a consequence of having disregarded the promise of God, the privileges of the firstborn were suddenly lost.
When he returned from hunting and preparing food for his father, he saw that there was no remedy.
Beware of profaning with your words, saying things lightly, mocking the things of God or people who love the Lord.
Do not lose your blessing, because you may not have time to repent, as the writer describes in Hebrews 12:16-17: “Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal. You know that afterward, when he wanted his father’s blessing, he was rejected. It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears.”

Be prudent and wise in your words and the decisions you make. Don't get carried away by emotions. Many, in their anger, have said what they should not have said, or when someone trusts in himself and forgets to put his plans in the hands of the Lord, he is going to suffer many disappointments.
