Génesis 30: Que todos vean que tú eres bendición.

Génesis 30:27-36:
Labán le respondió: —Por favor, si he hallado gracia ante tus ojos… He visto que el SEÑOR me ha bendecido por tu causa. —Y añadió—: Señálame tu salario, y yo te lo pagaré.
Él respondió: —Tú sabes cómo he trabajado para ti y cómo ha estado tu ganado conmigo. Pues poco tenías antes de que yo viniera, y ha crecido abundantemente. El SEÑOR te ha bendecido con mi llegada. Ahora, ¿cuándo he de trabajar yo también por mi propia casa?
Él le preguntó: —¿Qué te daré?
Jacob respondió: —No me des nada. Pero si haces para mí lo siguiente, volveré a apacentar y a cuidar tus ovejas: Yo pasaré hoy en medio de todo tu rebaño, poniendo aparte toda oveja pintada o salpicada de diversos colores y todo cordero de color oscuro entre las ovejas; y de entre las cabras las salpicadas de diversos colores y las pintadas. Eso será mi salario. Así será constatada mi honradez en el futuro, cuando tomes en cuenta mi salario: Toda cabra que no sea pintada o salpicada y toda oveja que no sea de color oscuro, que esté conmigo, será considerada como robada.
Labán dijo: —¡Bien! Que sea como tú dices.
Aquel día Labán apartó los machos cabríos listados o pintados, todas las cabras pintadas o salpicadas de diversos colores, todo lo que tenía en sí algo de blanco y todos los corderos de color oscuro; y los entregó en manos de sus hijos. Estableció una distancia de unos tres días de camino entre sí y Jacob, pero Jacob debía apacentar las otras ovejas de Labán.


Jacob era un hombre trabajador, persistente y entregado a sus objetivos; también era creativo y tomaba iniciativa. Su forma de trabajar dio frutos, y su suegro lo convenció para que todavía no se fuera de su casa, pues Jacob ya había sentido en su corazón volver a casa.
La razón por la que Labán no lo dejó ir fue porque él veía cómo Dios lo bendecía por medio de Jacob. Jacob era el encargado de sus rebaños; y con cada oveja o cordero, cabra o macho cabrío era la forma en que se medía las riquezas. Ellos se multiplicaban bien en la mano de Jacob y eran bien cuidados.
Tal vez pienses que Jacob hacía trucos para aumentar sus propios rebaños, pero realmente era la gracia y el poder de Dios que bendecía todo lo que Jacob hacía.
Este buen ejemplo de trabajo duro y dedicado nos debe inspirar a seguir. No el de tratar de engañar o ser astuto en los negocios, pero sí en la dedicación y en la forma en que Jacob ponía en sus objetivos, enfocado en su labor de hacer bien las cosas, siendo responsable de sus labores y solucionando cualquier problema que surgiera en el camino.
Mañana vamos a saber más sobre la forma en que Jacob se esforzaba día y noche, en calor y en frío, y pagando los daños ocasionados accidentalmente.

Considera el ejemplo de Jacob, que era visto como una bendición en su lugar de trabajo, en vez de ser carga. Que tu jefe o los compañeros de trabajo o tus empleados puedan ver que tú eres diferente, que traes un ambiente positivamente diferente a la empresa, que es más agradable trabajar contigo, que se vea el progreso a donde llegues a trabajar.
Es importante que hagamos nuestra labor con ética, honestidad, integridad. El apóstol Pablo nos aconsejó que trabajemos siempre pensando que lo hacemos para el Señor y no para nuestro jefe o supervisor. Hazlo como trabajando para Dios.
Efesios 6:5-8 dice: “Siervos, obedezcan a los que son sus amos en la tierra con temor y temblor, con sinceridad de corazón, como a Cristo; no sirviendo solo cuando se les esté mirando, como los que quieren quedar bien con los hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo, haciendo la voluntad de Dios con ánimo. Sirvan de buena voluntad, como al Señor, no como a los hombres, sabiendo que el bien que haga cada uno eso recibirá de parte del Señor, sea siervo o libre.”

Sé un buen testimonio de un verdadero cristiano con tus acciones. Tú puedes ser bendición en tu lugar de trabajo, en tu casa y en tu iglesia. Pide la gracia del Señor sobre ti, y que todo lo que hagas sea para honrar al Señor.

Genesis 30: Let everyone see that you are a blessing.

Genesis 30:27-36 NKJV:
And Laban said to him, “Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.” Then he said, “Name me your wages, and I will give it.”
So Jacob said to him, “You know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me. For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house?”
So he said, “What shall I give you?”
And Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything. If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flocks: Let me pass through all your flock today, removing from there all the speckled and spotted sheep, and all the brown ones among the lambs, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and these shall be my wages. So my righteousness will answer for me in time to come, when the subject of my wages comes before you: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the lambs, will be considered stolen, if it is with me.”
And Laban said, “Oh, that it were according to your word!” So he removed that day the male goats that were speckled and spotted, all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had some white in it, and all the brown ones among the lambs, and gave them into the hand of his sons. Then he put three days’ journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flocks.


Jacob was a hard-working man, persistent and dedicated to his goals; he was also creative and took initiative. His way of working paid off, and his father-in-law convinced him not to leave his house yet, because Jacob had already felt in his heart to return home.
The reason Laban didn't let him go was because he saw God blessing him through Jacob. Jacob was in charge of his flocks; and with each sheep or lamb, goat or billy goat was the way riches were measured. They multiplied well in Jacob's hand and were well cared for.
You may think that Jacob played tricks to increase his own herds, but really it was the grace and power of God that blessed everything Jacob did.
This good example of hard and dedicated work should inspire us to follow. Not that of trying to deceive or be cunning in business, but in the dedication and in the way in which Jacob set his goals, focused on his work of doing things well, being responsible for his work and solving any problem that arose along the way.
Tomorrow we're going to learn more about how Jacob struggled day and night, in the hot and cold, and paying for accidental damages.

Consider the example of Jacob, who was seen as a blessing in his workplace rather than a burden. That your boss or co-workers or your employees can see that you are different, that you bring a positively different environment to the company, that it is more pleasant to work with you, that progress is seen where you get to work.
It is important that we do our work with ethics, honesty and integrity. The apostle Paul advised us to work thinking that we do it for the Lord and not for our boss or supervisor. Do it as working for God.
Ephesians 6:5-8 says: “Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.”

Be a good testimony of a true Christian with your actions. You can be a blessing in your workplace, in your home and in your church. Ask the grace of the Lord upon you, and that everything you do is to honor the Lord.
