For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:17
As a Christian, the Spirit has been poured into your heart, which means joy has been poured into you. If you don’t feel much joy in Christ or peace with others right now, stop and seek these fruits. Ask The Holy Spirit to fill you with the love of Christ, and to joy in Him and to have peace with His people.
Real Joy Comes from God, Who has delivered and drawn you to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. (Colossians 1:13)—Who has given you hope and joy because He has poured out His love within your hearts by the Holy Spirit whom He has given you (Rom. 5:5).
Joy comes from God, not from within. When you look within, you just get sad. You find joy only when you look outside yourself to Christ. Without Christ, JOY is impossible to find. Joy is the fruit of the Spirit of God. (Galatians 5:22)
The world looks for Joy in all the wrong places. Never realizing that Joy finds you. Joy being the fruit of the Spirit, comes when the Spirit of God Comes to live within you.
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always receive the same outcome. The word for change in the Bible is to REPENT, which means change your direction by the Power of God changing your mind, repent, change your mind, changes the inner man (particularly with reference to acceptance of the will of God), repent. Philippians 2:13

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! (Psalms 139:16-18)
Yes, you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus, born anew yo do those good works which God planned beforehand for you, taking paths which He prepared ahead of time, that you should walk in them, living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for you to Life.
