Means fullness of faith; typically, of believing the faith God imparts.
Psalm 119:89–90 says, “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations.” Here faithfulness is equated with God’s Word. God speaks never-ending truth. What God spoke something a thousand years ago, it still stands. He is faithful to His Word, because His Word is an expression of His character. The promises He made still hold true because He does not change (Malachi 3:6).
God is faithful, He is reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on; by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ your Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9
God keeps His promises. He keeps His Word. When He makes a promise, He will deliver. Faithfulness, one of the attributes of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), is a biblical word describing those who keep their promises. It does not mean "full of faith," but rather "worthy of faith." Faithfulness says, "I will keep my word. I will not fail you. I won't quit on you." Faithfulness is the glue that keeps our actions adhering to our promises.
Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9
God is faithful to His Word and to His Compassionate Nature, and He can be Trusted.(1 Corinthians 10:13)
Surely God is trustworthy and faithful and means what He says, our speech and message to you have not been Yes [that might mean] No. (2 Corinthians 1:18)
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. (I Thessalonians 5:24)
The Lord is faithful, who will Strengthen you and establish you and set you on a firm foundation and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
If we are faithless, do not believe and are untrue to Him, He remains true, faithful to His Word and His righteous character, for He cannot deny Himself. (2 Timothy 2:13 )
Thus says the LORD, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the LORD who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You. (Isaiah 49:7 )
Faithfulness is one of the attributes of God's nature. It denotes His absolute constancy in His relations with you.
God is unchangeable. God is True. He is Faithful in keeping His promises, and therefore is worthy of your Complete Trust. God’s Unchangeableness and God's goodness and mercy Cannot be Seperated from His Faithfulness.
The Faithfulness of God is nourishing food for the soul. It becomes a sword, a shield, a hammer; your life motivation, your good hope and your confident expectation.
