The story is a cautionary tale about a Happy Hare who loves to dress up and explore. He meets a Funny Fox while wandering through the woods, dressed in a little red jacket and cap. The Fox offers the Hare a nun’s costume and teaches him a simple song about kindness to animals. Enjoying the company, the Hare sings along, trusting the Fox, believing he is in a good mood. However, the Fox suddenly attacks the Happy Hare, tearing his dress and injuring him. Despite the ordeal, the Hare is glad to have learned the song but realizes the importance of listening to wise advice and remaining cautious, as reminded by a wise old owl’s warning. The story underscores themes of trust and the inherent risks associated with too much reliance on seemingly friendly strangers.
