The West Catholic Girls Basketball team is off to a 7-0 start of the 2022-2023 season, fresh off a 61-54 win over Division 1 powerhouse Rockford in the Cornerstone University Holiday Basketball Tournament. The championship game was played on Thursday, Dec. 22.
West Catholic head coach Jill VanderEnde was a guest on the Sports Project Radio Show on Saturday, Dec. 24. VanderEnde talks about the team's success and hard-nose defensive play. Host Steve Project said they could be the No. 1 team in the state after defeating Rockford.
