As we continue with this difficult passage, we have to wrestle with the question, “Is this a divine command applicable to all people for all time, or is this a cultural command which may also contain divine leading for us today?” Then, we must ask ourselves, “How did I come to that conclusion, and am I saying that just because I don’t want to follow what this says?”
