Story Transcript:

He: באמצע תל אביב, ליד גן ירוק מוקף בילדים שמשחקים וצוחקים, יש בית יתומים ישן.
En: In the heart of Tel Aviv, near a green park surrounded by children playing and laughing, there is an old orphanage.

He: יעל, עובדת סוציאלית, ביקרה שם בקיץ.
En: Yael, a social worker, visited there during the summer.

He: השמש חיממה את האבנים הישנות והריחות של פרחים מהגנים סיבכו באוויר.
En: The sun warmed the old stones, and the scents of flowers from the gardens mingled in the air.

He: יעל צעדה בפתח הבית בידיים פתוחות.
En: Yael walked into the house with open arms.

He: הילדים הסתכלו עליה בהסתייגות.
En: The children looked at her hesitantly.

He: הם לא הכירו את פניה.
En: They didn’t recognize her face.

He: היה ביעל משהו מעבר למטרה המקצועית.
En: There was something about Yael beyond her professional goal.

He: היא הרגישה צורך אישי לפגוש את המקומות שבהם עברה תקופה קשה בילדותה.
En: She felt a personal need to visit the places where she had gone through a difficult time in her childhood.

He: ״שלום ילדים! אני יעל, באתי לדבר ולשחק אתכם,״ היא אמרה בחיוך רחב.
En: "Hello children! I’m Yael, I came to talk and play with you," she said with a wide smile.

He: אך הילדים רק הביטו בה בחשדנות.
En: But the children only looked at her suspiciously.

He: הם לא דיברו.
En: They didn’t speak.

He: יעל הרגישה את הכאב שלהם.
En: Yael felt their pain.

He: היא ידעה איך זה להיות שם, לבד.
En: She knew what it was like to be there, alone.

He: יעל לטשה אליהם מבט חמים.
En: Yael gave them a warm gaze.

He: היא הרגישה את הדמעות מגרות בעיניה, אבל החליטה לא לוותר.
En: She felt tears welling up in her eyes, but she decided not to give up.

He: ״אני רוצה לספר לכם סיפור,״ היא אמרה והתיישבה על הדשא.
En: "I want to tell you a story," she said and sat down on the grass.

He: לאט לאט הילדים התקרבו, עדיין בחשד.
En: Slowly, the children came closer, still wary.

He: ״כשהייתי ילדה, גרתי במקום כזה.
En: "When I was a child, I lived in a place like this.

He: גם אני הייתי בודדה.
En: I was lonely too.

He: היה לי צעצוע אחד בלבד.
En: I had only one toy.

He: ׳בובה קטנה עם שמלה כחולה,׳ אני קראתי לה שמעונית.
En: 'A little doll with a blue dress,' I called her Shimonit.

He: שמעונית הייתה החברה הכי טובה שלי.
En: Shimonit was my best friend.

He: אנחנו דיברנו כל היום.
En: We talked all day.

He: היא הבינה אותי כשאף אחד אחר לא.״
En: She understood me when no one else did."

He: לפתע, ילד קטן, אילן שמו, שעד כה היה הכי עוין, התקרב ושאל, ״מה קרה לשמעונית?״
En: Suddenly, a little boy, whose name was Ilan, who had been the most hostile so far, came closer and asked, "What happened to Shimonit?"

He: יעל חייכה אליו, ״שמעונית נשארה איתי עד היום שאני עזבתי.
En: Yael smiled at him, "Shimonit stayed with me until the day I left.

He: היא הייתה שם כשכולי הייתי עצובה, אבל היא עזרה לי לצאת מזה ולהיות חזקה.״
En: She was there when I was very sad, but she helped me get through it and become strong."

He: אילן דמיין את שמעונית ועיניו כבדו.
En: Ilan imagined Shimonit and his eyes became heavy.

He: ״לי אין אף אחד כזה.״ הוא אמר בקול חלש.
En: "I don’t have anyone like that," he said in a low voice.

He: לפתע, הוא פרץ בבכי.
En: Suddenly, he burst into tears.

He: הרגשות שטפו אותו כמו גלים בים בקיץ.
En: His emotions washed over him like waves in the sea during summer.

He: יעל התקרבה וחיבקה אותו בעדינות.
En: Yael came closer and gently hugged him.

He: ״אנחנו נשנה את זה,״ היא לחשה לו.
En: "We’ll change that," she whispered to him.

He: בעקבות אילן, עוד ילדים התקרבו אל יעל.
En: Following Ilan, more children came closer to Yael.

He: כל אחד מהם התחיל לבכות ולשתף את הסיפור שלו.
En: Each of them started crying and sharing their story.

He: זה היה כמו שביל שנפתח, והם החלו לדבר ולשתף אחד עם השני.
En: It was like a path had opened, and they began to talk and share with each other.

He: בסוף היום, כשהשמש שקעה, יעל הרגישה חמה בלב.
En: At the end of the day, as the sun set, Yael felt warmth in her heart.

He: היא ידעה שעזרה לילדים וגם לעצמה.
En: She knew she had helped the children and herself too.

En: She found some of the closure she sought and felt a sense of fulfillment.

He: גם הילדים נראו רגועים יותר, מצאו שמץ תקווה וקשר עם מי שהבין אותם.
En: The children also seemed calmer, finding a glimmer of hope and connection with someone who understood them.

He: יעל חייכה וליבה התמלא.
En: Yael smiled, her heart filled.

He: היא מצאה דרך להתחבר שוב לעברה ולהמשיך קדימה עם יותר כוח ואהבה.
En: She found a way to reconnect with her past and move forward with more strength and love.
