Hikari was born in Tokyo but grew up in Chicago, studied in New York, and later settled in London. Her career in the art industry began as a gallery intern, but she was soon making waves and was one of the founders of Paddle8, a revolutionary online auction site designed to break down the exclusivity of buying and selling art.
