show moreSo, the current NE swell is on a slow decline, nothing too crazy in the waves like a High Surf Advisory. But! With those trade winds picking up and a bit of E swell coming in from Tropical Cyclone Kristy, we're in for some fun times along the East shores all week.
There's a medium N swell coming in on Sunday peaking on Monday, so keep an eye out for that sweet spot. Oh, and a long-period NW swell might just greet us by Friday, giving us another reason to hit the waves!
For tonight on Kauai, we're looking at 6-8 footers on the North, 2-4 on the West, and 3-5 on the South. East-facing shores, get ready for some 6-8 feet waves. Weather-wise, expect mostly cloudy skies with showers, so pack that raincoat!
And for our friends in Oahu, similar wave heights for tonight and Sunday. The UV index is gonna be high, so don't forget that sunscreen while enjoying partly sunny skies!
Over in Maui, it's a mix of 6-8 footers on the North and East shores, with 2-4 on the West and 3-5 on the South. Expect some scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two. But hey, that's all part of the adventure, right?
On the Big Island Windward and Southeast, 6-8 foot waves on the North and East shores, and 3-5 feet on the South. Sunday's looking cloudy but with some isolated thunderstorms on the horizon.
And for Big Island Leeward, 2-4 footers on the West, and 4-6 on the South for tonight. Sunday brings in some cloudy skies with scattered showers for a bit of drama in the water.
Remember folks, surf heights can change, rip currents can be sneaky, so stay safe out there! And hey, for more beach safety info, check out hawaiibeachsafety.com.
