Alright, surfers and beachgoers, brace yourselves for the latest scoop on the waves coming your way in Hawaii! This is your go-to forecast for catching those epic swells and planning your beach day adventures.

Currently, we have a long period moderate Northwest swell peaking this afternoon, so grab your boards and hit the waves! The High Surf Advisory for North and West-facing shores will continue through tonight. Expect some wrap from the Northwest swells at select exposures.

As we move into the week, be on the lookout for more moderate Northwest to NNW swells. And hey, trade winds are picking up, so East-facing shores will see a bump in surf too. Meanwhile, South-facing shores will be mellow with just background energy.

Let's break it down by region:

Starting with Kauai, tonight you can expect mostly cloudy weather with numerous showers. Surf will range from 15-20 feet on North-facing shores and 12-16 feet on West-facing shores. Tomorrow, conditions will improve with scattered showers and surf dropping a bit.

Over on Oahu, similar conditions with high surf advisory for North and West-facing shores continuing. Tonight, it's mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Surf will be in the range of 15-20 feet on North-facing shores and 12-16 feet on West-facing shores. Tomorrow, more of the same, with the surf easing up a bit.

Moving to Maui, North-facing shores will see surf at 15-20 feet tonight, easing up to 10-14 feet tomorrow. West-facing shores will have surf in the 4-6 feet range. Expect mostly cloudy weather with showers and a chance of thunderstorms.

Lastly, for the Big Island, the Windward and Southeast shores will see surf at 4-6 feet on North-facing shores tonight and tomorrow. Head to the Leeward side for 1-3 feet surf on West and South-facing shores. Expect occasional showers and thunderstorm chances.

Remember, surf heights can vary, so always stay alert for rip currents. And for more beach safety info, check out hawaiibeachsafety.com.
