There is so much biblical "illiteracy" among God's people especially within that of its own leadership. The Church can read but misread the Bible by making it to say what they want it to say without allowing God's Word to speak for itself (2 Pet. 3:16). In order to get a clear knowledge and understanding of scripture is to know "how" to properly read and study God's Word (2 Tim. 2:15). The reason for the proliferation of cults and heresies to due to the church's misunderstanding of God's Word. The Church must get a grip upon knowing how to read and to study properly God's Word (Acts 17:11).
