Scriptures teach that all of life is spiritual. Work can be as holy as prayer or communion. All of life can be an act of service to God.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24 When Jesus says “God is spirit,” He simply teaches what the Father is like — divine, not limited by physical corporeality, life-giving, and incomprehensible. And God Living in you Gives you Bis inherit abilities to work.
The Bible says that work is a gift from God! Genesis 2:15 says, “Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it.” Gardening is work and God gave this to Adam and Eve. God uniquely designed each of us with talents, and it is our responsibility to develop and utilize them. His divine plan includes His people working to provide for themselves.
Beginning in Genesis you see God literally with his hands in the dirt in Genesis 2:7 doing manual labor and not considering it beneath Him.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
Genesis 2:7
Even in the creation of the heavens and the earth and all the host of them, God Worked. God's Work from the Beginning Is Been to Create and Make.
“Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
Genesis 2:1-3
Just as Jesus said: My Father has worked even until now, He has never ceased working; He is still working and I, too, must be at divine work.
John 5:17
Work is good, and God does work, he is never ceased working. He still work, and you too, just as Christ said, must be at work.
Scriptures teach that all of life is spiritual. Work can be as holy as prayer or communion. All of life can be an act of service to God.
Since our work is a way to please God, every day is ripe with the potential for meaning and purpose. Whether you like your job or not… Whether you like your boss or not…
So, whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
God's plans for you and the work that he prepared for you is greater and does more than you can even think, hope, ask, or imagine. For God ordained work, done in God's power in his wisdom and his strength always brings results.
