The Victory, also out of Long Beach, had a strong 3/4-Day trip with 36 anglers, bringing in 50 Salmon Grouper, 25 Sculpin, 200 Whitefish, 238 Rockfish, 80 Sanddab, and 72 Vermillion Rockfish.

### Types and Amounts of Fish
The dominant catches included a variety of rockfish species, whitefish, and some sheephead. The rockfish were plentiful, with the Victory catching 238 and the Native Sun catching 101. Whitefish were also abundant, with the Victory bringing in 200 and the Native Sun catching 64.

### Best Lures and Bait
For rockfish and whitefish, using live or frozen squid as bait has been highly effective. Jigs and lures that mimic the appearance of small fish or squid also work well. For sheephead and calico bass, using live bait such as anchovies or sardines can be very productive.

### Hot Spots
One of the hot spots has been the Outer Banks, where the Eldorado out of Long Beach has been having success with overnight trips. Another good spot is the local bottom fishing grounds near Pierpoint Landing, where the Monte Carlo and Enterprise have been reporting good catches of rockfish, whitefish, and sheephead.
