On today’s show your host Matt Watson talks with Emilie Evenson, Leadership Resident at SCVi’s iLead online. Emilie and Matt talk about the benefits of the iLead program which gives parents and their children the flexibility they need for their schoolwork. Together, they create their own schedule to allow for freedom while still offering in person opportunities and even field trips. Additionally, learners are offered career options in their CTE pathways which includes business, technical, health care and the arts as well as internships to help the learner ear industry recognized certifications. In the second half of the show, Matt welcomes Cailin Garcia, Administrative Analyst Business Development for the City of Santa Clarita. Cailin works closely with potential local businesses in an effort to help bring companies into Santa Clarita.  Economic Development Division is important to our community to help us succeed financially.  A job fair is happening on October 18 from 10am-2pm at the College of the Canyons where over 90 employers will be looking for the perfect job candidate.
