What if Palpatine Died?

What if Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine had died at the beginning of Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith? This is the question that the Jedi Masters ponder this week, trying to figure what story permutations would happen and if the eventual march to Empire was inevitable under Moff Windu, and what role Citizen Ahsoka Tano or Maul might play.
