We continue Comedy Mafia Month with the final film directed by Jim Abrahams, co-director of Airplane!, as he turns his sights on gangsters in Jane Austen's Mafia!. Jay Mohr stars as a Michael Corleone type, with Lloyd Bridges, Olympia Dukakis, Christina Applegate and Billy Burke in support, in a spoof that apes the plots of the first two Godfather films and throws in Scorsese's Casino for good measure. Sight gags and lunacy ensue. We dig into the film, the ZAZ connection, and other parodies.
The Projection Booth's Mike White joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Jane Austen's Mafia!, Jim Abrahams, the ZAZ connection, and so much more.
