Senior Program Director, for the Education Equity Program at The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights to discuss the scathing four page letter, released by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR) which put colleges on notice: Immediately halt all race-conscious policies and programming or risk losing federal funding. The Official Letter cited, among many things, “discrimination against White and Asian Americans” as a basis to end all civil rights-gained programs, funding, scholarships and set asides, enacted to address and repair historic educational inequalities due to racism.
