show moreKevin Gannon is a 20-year veteran of the New York City Police Department. During his distinguished career as Sergeant in the Detective Bureau, Gannon made over 1000 felony apprehensions and was awarded almost 100 medals for bravery. When he retired, he was one of the most highly decorated officers in NYPD history. Gannon’s involvement in the Smiley Face Killers cases began with his commitment to solve the Patrick McNeil case, the first unexplained drowning case he worked. The case still haunts Gannon, and it’s what drove him to come out of retirement and commit his life to proving these deaths are, in fact, murders.
