show moreThe Living Full Out Show with Nancy Solari wants to show you how to use restraint. Maybe you have felt you were being supportive, when others only saw you as meddling. There may have been moments when you were balancing different areas of your life, only to find you were exhausted from doing too much. Understanding when to allow people to solve their own problems can give you piece of mind. You may find that you are more useful when you learn to take a step back, instead of involving yourself past your breaking point.
Our first caller is Jo, whose daughter just had an accident. Nancy instructs Jo to be a sounding board and find ways to ask her daughter how to assist. Jo can go on YouTube or research videos of similar accidents for ideas of how to be supportive. By leaving inspirational messages in the form of emails and care packages, Jo can empower her daughter to handle the situation herself.
Our inspirational guest is Justin Willoughby, who weighed 799 pounds as a sixteen-year-old. After being diagnosed with anxiety at fourteen, Justin felt trapped and unable to connect with others. This led Justin to become physically inactive, which combined with a food addiction caused his weight to balloon out of control. Through faith and determination, Justin overcame pain to take control of his health without surgery. By creating strategies and refocusing his priorities, Justin refuses to give food control over him.
Our final caller is Jeanne, who wants to stay positive after her grandchildren moved out of state. Nancy tells Jeanne to reach out to each of her grandkids individually to remind them of her love. By refusing to allow her fears to have power, Jeanne can focus energy on new ways to engage her family.
There may be times when you feel you need to take on multiple tasks to gain a sense of accomplishment. However, doing too much at once can make you frustrated. Knowing your limits and devoting yourself to what you are truly passionate about show signs of maturity. By showing restraint, you can better accomplish goals and live full out.
