Adopted as an infant, Justin’s life started in the oil fields of Wyoming and the Dakotas. Moving to West Valley, Utah in the 5th grade brought a new set of challenges that took him in and out of trouble, and addiction for the next 20+ years. His life’s highlights include a Utah high school basketball championship, and his lows include an addiction to about every substance known, running from the law, and running from himself. His is a life of turmoil that finally landed him as a counselor at a recovery center, providing lived experience of others who, like him, have gotten lost in their addictions. Justin’s story is one of a man who did his best to throw his life away and if it weren’t for a parole officer who took some interest and showed some true concern, he may well have succeeded. Instead, he now leads a life of service, support, and compassion. Listen in to find out the details.
