Story Transcript:

Ko: 비가 내리고 있었다.
En: It was raining.

Ko: 정글은 거대한 녹색 카펫처럼 펼쳐져 있었다.
En: The jungle stretched out like a vast green carpet.

Ko: 민준은 늦은 겨울 오후, 정글 속에서 길을 잃었다.
En: Minjun had lost his way in the jungle on a late winter afternoon.

Ko: 높은 나무들 사이로 빛은 거의 들어오지 않았다.
En: Almost no light penetrated between the tall trees.

Ko: 그는 지도와 나침반을 쥔 채 서 있었다. 그러나 어느 쪽이 방향인지 알 수 없었다.
En: He stood holding a map and compass, but he couldn't figure out which direction to go.

Ko: 민준은 모험가였다.
En: Minjun was an adventurer.

Ko: 새로운 장소를 발견하는 것을 좋아했다. 특히 도전이 있는 곳이라면 더 좋았다.
En: He loved discovering new places, especially places with challenges.

Ko: 그는 스스로에게 이 어려움을 이겨낼 수 있음을 증명하고 싶었다.

En: It could be people coming to rescue him.

Ko: 하지만 혹시나 또 길을 잃을까 두려웠다.
En: But he was afraid of getting lost again.

Ko: 그래도 그는 결심했다.
En: Nonetheless, he made a decision.

Ko: 높은 곳으로 올라가 신호를 보내는 것이 안전하다고 생각했다.
En: He thought it was safer to climb to a high spot and send a signal.

Ko: 민준은 언덕을 찾아 느리지만 확실한 발걸음을 옮겼다.
En: Minjun found a hill and moved forward with slow but sure steps.

Ko: 언덕 꼭대기에서 더 많은 나뭇가지를 쌓아 연기를 내었다.
En: At the top of the hill, he piled up more branches and sent up smoke.

Ko: 멀리서 큰 소리가 다가왔다.
En: A loud noise approached from a distance.

Ko: 수진과 은희가 이끄는 구조팀이 작은 헬리콥터를 타고 그를 찾고 있었다.
En: A rescue team led by Sujin and Eunhee was searching for him in a small helicopter.

Ko: 수진과 은희는 조심스럽게 민준에게 내려가 그를 구조했다.
En: Sujin and Eunhee carefully descended to rescue Minjun.

Ko: "잘 버텼어, 민준아," 수진이 말했다.
En: "You did well to hang in there, Minjun," Sujin said.

Ko: 민준은 고개를 끄덕였다.
En: Minjun nodded.

Ko: 그는 자연의 위험성과 모험의 무게를 깨달았다. 그리고 준비가 중요하다는 것도.
En: He realized the dangers of nature and the weight of adventure, and also the importance of preparation.
