There is a deep need to honor our departed loved ones in a meaningful way, but in the fresh throes of grief, we may not know how to best do that for ourselves or others. From my own experience, as well as input from dozens of fellow bereaved parents, we discuss various meaningful ways to honor our loved ones.
Today’s guest Liberty Worth is an incredible textile designer, artist, quilter, teacher and poet. We discuss the commissioned quilts she creates with clothing from the dearly departed, including the one she created for me using Alice’s clothes. Liberty discusses her calling to use her skills to help others grieve and the transformation from a heavy box of clothes in a closet to a stunning piece of memorial art you can wrap around you daily.
