Katie Couric has been exposed for editing her anti-gun documentary entitled "Under the Gun" to create a false image of a Virginia gun rights group. The group had secretly recorded Couric’s interview to show where the former NBC reporter deliberately mislead viewers.

USA's Jason Wert talked with Tim Graham of the Media Research Center, who tells USA Radio News that Couric can’t be trusted.

Couric edited out the group’s response to a question about felons obtaining guns, and placed in footage of the group sitting quietly waiting for the interview to continue to make it appear they wouldn’t answer her question.

Stephanie Soechtig, the documentary's director, said in a statement:

“There are a wide range of views expressed in the film. My intention was to provide a pause for the viewer to have a moment to consider this important question before presenting the facts on Americans' opinions on background checks. I never intended to make anyone look bad and I apologize if anyone felt that way.”

Coeric said, "I support Stephanie's statement and am very proud of the film."
