You may recognize the name Ed Durr. He the truck driver who made national news when he ran a campaign on a shoestring budget and defeated a powerfully entrenched New Jersey state senator. Recently, FAIRtax volunteers Jim Bennett and Jerry McManus met with Durr about the FAIRtax. He was particularly interested in how the FAIRtax would work at the state level. Passing the FAIRtax at the state level like Alabama, Georgia and Nebraska are trying to do could be the key to getting it passed nationally, so don't pass up any opportunities you may have to talk about the FAIRtax with state level legislators.
