show moreLet's start with a heads-up for all you seafarers out there - we're looking at some less than ideal conditions today due to the high pressure shifting offshore. The winds will calm down a bit but those seas are going to take their sweet time to mellow out. So, if you're hitting the waters, be prepared for some poor to hazardous conditions.
For our Gulf Stream enthusiasts, keep an eye out for those east to southeast winds around 15 knots and those 6 to 8 feet seas.
Now, for the Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line - small craft advisory is in effect until tomorrow morning! Today expect southeast winds of 10 to 15 knots, with seas at 4 to 6 feet, occasionally reaching 8 feet. Tomorrow, brace yourself for some choppy conditions as those north winds kick in at 15 to 20 knots.
For the Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet region, similar conditions with a bit of variety in wind directions, from southeast to south, and then a shift to the west and north. Seas ranging from 5 to 7 feet today, occasionally hitting 9 feet.
And for the Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line further out at 20 to 60 nautical miles, a small craft advisory lingers through the afternoon. Southeast winds of 10 to 15 knots will switch to the south, then west, with seas at 6 to 7 feet today, occasionally hitting 9 feet.
Remember, safety first when out on the water with these conditions. For more detailed forecasts, check out the link in our show notes.
