Ahoy there, surfers and beach enthusiasts!

We've got the latest scoop on the surf zone forecasts for the New York area, so grab your boards and let's dive in!

Let's start at Kings (Brooklyn) - where we've got some high rip current risks in effect until this evening. The surf height is hanging around 3 feet, and the water's in the upper 60s. Expect cloudy skies with a chance of rain, and temperatures in the upper 60s. Keep an eye out for those east winds doing their thing at 15 mph.

Over in Southern Queens, like Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, it's a similar story with high rip current risks. Surfs around 3 feet high and that water's still in the upper 60s. Cloudy skies with a chance of rain, a tad breezier with east winds at 15 to 20 mph. Hang tight!

Moving to Southern Nassau, from Atlantic Beach to Jones Beach, the rip current risk is still high. Surfs cruising at 3 feet and temperatures in the upper 60s. Cloudy with possible rain and those east winds keeping things lively at 15 to 20 mph. And hey, tides are looking interesting too!

Down in Southwestern Suffolk, hitting up Gilgo State Park and Robert Moses State Park, we've got that high rip current risk tagging along. Surfs around 3 feet, upper 60s water, and cloudy skies with some rain possible. East winds even stronger at around 20 mph today. Hold onto your hats!

Lastly, in Southeastern Suffolk, where Smith Point and Cupsogue Beach are waiting, we're also dealing with high rip currents. Surfs stepping it up to about 4 feet, with mid-60s water temp, and a mostly cloudy day with a sprinkle of rain. East winds around 15 mph will keep things breezy!

Remember, when it comes to rip currents, safety first! Always have your flotation devices handy and swim near a lifeguard. And hey, if you're caught in a rip current, don't panic - relax, float, and go with the flow.

Well, that's a wrap for today's surf zone forecasts in New York! Keep an eye out for more updates and as always, stay safe and catch some sweet waves out there!
