Mourning

Not even twenty four hours have passed—its 7:45 the next morning. Nothing’s changed here in Carolina… except maybe the way we look at reality. No death toll numbers, two hundred firefighters are missing. The airplanes are accounted for. We’re learning those on board were forced to call home to say goodbye. How do you say it? Do you know the arms of God will comfort you before impact? A lot has changed inside me. The way I look at reality. No truck passes me, no car starts, and not even a breeze in the air whispers without me wondering. Will this be my final step? Welcome to our new reality.
