Millions of Ukrainian refugees have fled the war in their country by making their way over the border into Poland. Two men with Massachusetts ties are in Poland this week, doing what they can to make life a little easier for those who may have lost everything to war. Lars Whelan talks with Nichole about his efforts to assist families who make their way to Warsaw Central Railway Station, and how his little pup, Juno, is bringing smiles to kids' faces. Julio Salado, a fitness trainer from Malden, is embarking on a weeklong volunteer trip with World Central Kitchen to Przemysl, Poland, to help feed refugees. He spoke with WBZ's Laurie Kirby about his plans, and their conversation is on this week's show. There's a Milton-based non-profit that has been working for 20 years to help better the quality of life for Haitians. Jocelyn Bresnahan, CEO of Saint Rock Haiti Foundation, has details on their work to provide quality medical care in Haiti and their upcoming "Building Hope Together" gala.
