show moreStarting off today, we're looking at a pretty chill day with a low rip current risk, around 2 feet of surf height, and a high UV index. The water temperature is in the lower 70s, with mostly sunny weather and highs in the upper 70s. Watch out for Southwest winds starting at around 5 mph and picking up to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Tomorrow, expect more of the same with sunny skies, highs in the lower 80s, and Northwest winds becoming southeast later in the day. Tides will be doing their thing at Ocean City Fishing Pier.
As we look further ahead, Wednesday is shaping up to bring 2 to 3 feet of surf height under sunny skies, with Southwest winds around 10 mph. Thursday and Friday carry a similar pattern with a mix of sun and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Keep an eye out for increasing rip risks with surf heights greater than 4 feet.
Remember, when it comes to rip currents, always stay aware and be cautious. And hey, check out the beach forecast graphic at weather.gov/beach/akq for more visuals.
So surf's up, Virginia! Time to grab your boards and hit those waves while the sun's shining. Stay safe out there and have a blast!
