Octubre 24: Mira mis lágrimas.

Salmos 39:1‭-‬13 RVA2015:
Yo dije: “Cuidaré mis caminos para no pecar con mi lengua. Guardaré mi boca con freno en tanto que el impío esté frente a mí”. Enmudecí, quedé en silencio; me callé aun respecto de lo bueno, pero mi dolor se agravó. Mi corazón se enardeció dentro de mí; fuego se encendió en mi suspirar, y así hablé con mi lengua: Hazme saber, oh SEÑOR, mi final, y cuál sea la medida de mis días. Sepa yo cuán pasajero soy. He aquí, has hecho que mis días sean breves; mi existencia es como nada delante de ti. De veras, solo vanidad es todo hombre en su gloria. Selah
En la oscuridad deambula el hombre; de veras, en vano se inquieta por acumular, y no sabe quién lo recogerá. Ahora, oh Señor, ¿qué esperaré? Mi esperanza está en ti. Líbrame de todas mis rebeliones; no me pongas por burla del insensato. Enmudecí; no abrí mi boca porque tú eres quien lo hizo. Aparta de mí tu plaga; por el movimiento de tu mano soy consumido. Con castigos por el pecado corriges al hombre y deshaces como polilla su hermosura. Ciertamente vanidad es todo hombre. Selah
Escucha mi oración, oh SEÑOR; oye mi clamor y no calles ante mis lágrimas. Porque forastero soy para ti, un advenedizo, como todos mis padres. Aparta de mí tu mirada, de modo que me alegre antes que me vaya y deje de ser.


Este salmo me produce mucha curiosidad por la forma en que el salmista inició este salmo. Él nos cuenta el propósito que él mismo se puso como meta, el de no hablar más de la cuenta. Hace poco leímos un salmo dónde se refiere sobre la importancia de cuidar las palabras para no pecar delante de Dios. Pero en esta oración él quería desahogarse; quería expresarse delante de Dios, dejando toda frustración a los pies del Señor.
El dilema que lo atormentaba era el sentirse oprimido por los que lo perseguían. Por eso él clamó al Señor para que lo librara de los opresores porque ya no quería sentirse más así como que su vida se desvanecía poco a poco.
Además, él se ha sorprendido por cómo el ser humano acumula riquezas y hace planes a futuro sin tener en cuenta que nuestra vida es corta, pasajera, que debemos primero hacer la voluntad de Dios antes de realizar grandes planes en la vida.
Por eso el salmista hizo esta oración al Señor: “Escucha mi oración, oh SEÑOR; oye mi clamor y no calles ante mis lágrimas.”
Cuando era pequeño leía este verso en muchos cuadros que mis abuelos tenían en una habitación, y también otros hermanos de la iglesia tenían el mismo cuadro: un niño con lágrimas en sus ojos orando al Señor.
Pienso que este cuadro era muy llamativo porque era muy conmovedor ver a este pequeño en su inocencia clamando al Señor. Pienso que a muchas personas les gustaba este cuadro porque se identificaban con este niño, porque a veces no entendemos muchas las cosas, pasamos momentos que producen temor y también pasamos por muchas necesidades; pero que la única esperanza que tenemos es el Señor, que nos consuela, nos enseña y nos dirige.

Permite que el Señor seque tus lágrimas, porque sé que Él nos escucha cada día, cada vez que doblamos nuestras rodillas ante Él. ¡Con el Señor debes desahogarte! Él no te va a regañar o reprender con el sólo hecho de abrir tu corazón y expresar lo que piensas. Más bien, Él se complace cuando Sus hijos se acercan a Él con un corazón sincero para que Dios mismo sea enseñándonos y corrigiéndonos.

¿Hablas abiertamente con el Señor o te da miedo expresar lo que piensas?

October 24: Look at my tears.

Psalms 39:1-13:
I said, “I will guard my ways, lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked are before me.” I was mute with silence, I held my peace even from good; and my sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue: “Lord, make me to know my end,
and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, and my age is as nothing before You; certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah
Surely every man walks about like a shadow; surely they busy themselves in vain; he heaps up riches, and does not know who will gather them.
“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You. Deliver me from all my transgressions; do not make me the reproach of the foolish. I was mute, I did not open my mouth, because it was You who did it. Remove Your plague from me; I am consumed by the blow of Your hand. When with rebukes You correct man for iniquity, You make his beauty melt away like a moth; surely every man is vapor. Selah
“Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; do not be silent at my tears; for I am a stranger with You, a sojourner, as all my fathers were. Remove Your gaze from me, that I may regain strength, before I go away and am no more.”


This psalm makes me very curious as to how the psalmist started this psalm. He tells us about the purpose that he set himself as a goal, that of not talking more than necessary. We recently read a psalm where it refers to the importance of taking care of the words so as not to sin before God. But in this prayer he wanted to vent; he wanted to express himself before God, leaving all frustration at the Lord's feet.
The dilemma that tormented him was feeling oppressed by those who persecuted him. That is why he cried out to the Lord to free him from the oppressors because he no longer wanted to feel like his life was fading little by little.
In addition, he has been surprised by how human beings accumulate wealth and make plans for the future without taking into account that our life is short, fleeting, that we must first do the will of God before making great plans in life.
That is why the psalmist prayed to the Lord: “Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; do not be silent at my tears”.
When I was little I read this verse in many paintings that my grandparents had in a room, and also other brothers in the church had the same painting: a child with tears in his eyes praying to the Lord.
I think this painting was very striking because it was very moving to see this little boy in his innocence crying out to the Lord. I think that many people liked this painting because they identified with this child, because sometimes we don't understand many things, we have moments that produce fear and we also go through many needs; but that the only hope we have is the Lord, who comforts us, teaches us and guides us.

Let the Lord dry your tears, because I know that He listens to us every day, every time we bend our knees before Him. With the Lord you must vent! He is not going to scold or reprimand you just by opening your heart and expressing what you think. Rather, He is pleased when His children approach Him with a sincere heart so that God Himself is teaching and correcting us.

Consider this:
Do you speak openly with the Lord or are you afraid to express what you think?
