show moreIt’s extremely difficult to believe in a single thought these days. Where did it come from? How did it arrive? Now that you’re holding it, where are you going to plant it? With so many voices in today’s free form speaking world, you can’t help but wonder where you might fit in. My father was very strict when it came to having a voice. He’d sternly tell us to mind our own business. When we didn’t he’d loudly remind us to be still. So I grew up holding onto a lot of stuff. Right or wrong, whatever was taking place we had no voice. I still practice that today calling myself a better listener than speaker. I loved what Billy Joel recently shared with Howard Stern when it comes to the way people interpret the lyrics to We Didn’t Start The Fire. Billy is simply saying it’s not his fault. Don’t blame him. Especially today, there are so many accusations and judgement calls. So often I remind my heart of the true truth. My name isn’t on the building. Create solutions. You may not have the answer but you do know the way to peace filed compassionate solution? The room maybe slammed with guests and clients but you can only do one person at a time.
