show moreThe Atlanta Braves have been on a tear taking back 1st place in the NL East from the Philadelphia Phillies, but that is not the biggest story from "Hot-lanta". Their division mates, the Miami Marlins, made big waves this week when 26 year old pitcher Jose Urena hit Braves leadoff man Ronald Acuna Jr with the first pitch of Wednesday night's game. Everybody but Urena believed it was intentional. Was it intentional, and maybe more importantly, was it just old school, hard nosed baseball or complete bush league?
Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen is on the disabled list with an irregular heartbeat. While this is not the first time he has had this medical issue occur, Dodgers faithful are clearly concerned about his health and their playoff chances. Will Jansen return this year and what effect will his absence have on LA?
Finally, the Seattle Mariners reinstated Robinson Cano after he completed his suspension for PED use. How will the Mariners use him for the next one and a half months to try and push their way into the postseason?
The regular season is almost ready to make the turn and head for home and we have plenty more for you this week on Out of Left Field.
