Penny Dreadfuls were cheap, serialized literature that would often publish sensationalized stories often focusing on crime, murder, and supernatural entities. These stories fueled the youth culture of the time and helped entertain the working class.

Join Chris and Jess as they introduce a new running series on the podcast where they read their own versions of penny dreadfuls. On this first episode, they read from Jack Kutz's "Mysteries and Miracles of New Mexico" all about the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone, a stone that could hold the secret to who discovered the Americas.

You can follow Chris Stachiw @Casualty_Chris, Jess Byard @writerjessbyard, and the podcast @ScaryStoriesWT. Alex Malnack of Blondo provides the music for the podcast; that track is "Stay Here." The album artwork is provided by Maggie the Odd. Don't forget to check out our official Facebook and Instagram pages for news, upcoming episodes, and more!
