Today we are discussing the vital support continuity with a known birth worker can afford women during pregnancy, childbirth and especially postnatally. We have beautiful guest Nathalie Solis with us, Nathalie, recently returned from Germany is a birth doula and cultural anthropologist with a German-Guatemalan background. She has worked in Berlin, for the past 5 years accompanying women at a variety of births including births at home, at birth centres and in hospitals. She has worked with over 50 families from various cultural backgrounds accompanying their journeys before, during and after birth over a period of up to twelve months. Since 2017 she has been nased in our beautiful Byron Shire, in Bangalow, with her son and her husband.
Currently contributing to a new childbirth education course with renowned French obstetrician and natural birth pioneer Dr. Michel Odent, Nathalie is committed to providing emotional, educational and practical one-on-one support to birthing families. She is passionate about offering non-judgmental, evidence-based, continuous care so that mothers feel heard, respected and cared for at all times.
