Welcome back to another episode of Chronicles of a Virgo podcast! This week guest is Mr. Rashad Mills, LCPC who uses his personal story of healing and growth, and how he transformed his own life as a means to help others.

A graduate of Morgan State University and John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, Rashad serves as a beacon of hope in the Mental health field serving clients dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationships and so much more.

In this episode we discussed:

-His experience being incarcerated and how it helped to influence his healing journey

-The journey behind writing his first book "Inmate 458627 A Man’s story of Mental Health, Love, Hurt & Healing"

-The impact that going to therapy has had in his life and journey to develop emotional intelligence and self-awareness

-How his beliefs and life experiences has shaped him into being a therapist and contributed to his parenting of his own children.


Mr. Mills continues to thrive daily serving as a Mental health advocate throughout the DMV as well as mentoring students throughout inner city schools in Baltimore City. Mr. Mills believes that no matter how big or small the adversities a person has faced in their life, healing is possible, and everyone deserves to live a full life.

The goal of this conversation is to encourage others that no matter the circumstances that you have faced in your past, you can still change your mindset and live a prosperous life.
