Eines Tages klingelte das Telefon und Carlos Freund sagte: „ Astor braucht dich auf seiner Europa-Tournee!“ Carlos sagte: „Ich bin gerade im Garten, lass mich und erzähl mir keinen Quatsch!“ Nachdem dann Piazzolla selbst anrief, trat Carlos dankbar und erwartungsvoll die letzte Europa-Tournee mit Astor an.
